Team croylejame
We’re putting the team back together! Team croylejame will come together and participate (God willing) in the Relay for Life Catonsville 2021 for the American Cancer Society.
The “jame” in Team croylejame, stands for Justus, Anna, Mark and Emily. Anna was our leader and we were her warriors in the battle against this insidious disease. As a team, we were not able to participate in the 2020 Relay, as two days prior, Anna’s tumor cut off her oxygen and Anna went into cardiac arrest, from which she never regained consciousness. Anna passed away several days later. We were devastated. We had to concede defeat in a battle that we were committed to never giving up the fight. But when your leader is removed from the battle field there are very few options.
However, Team croylejame wanted to continue with our effort in the Relay for Life Catonsville 2020. We kicked off a week after the event, and in less than a month had raised just shy of $5,000.00, putting us in 3rd place for all teams registered. For that, we thank all of our family, friends and co-workers who helped us remember and honor Anna; in this important effort to combat cancer. We may have lost our battle, but the war has not ended. Team croylejame is pulling from the strength and courage Anna showed, in the face of insurmountable odds, confronting the enemy head on. We may have lost, but in defeat you learn a lot about life, what’s important (what is not), who and what you stand for and most importantly, who you can count on in difficult times. Team croylejame wants to acknowledges those who have been a tremendous help and comfort to us in our difficult moments and we want to show that we also can be counted on.
To that end, we invite you to join our team, make a donation, or even sponsor our team. Whatever you can do to help us, is welcomed with open arms. Anna is still our leader, our inspiration in this campaign. I am the team captain, Emily and Justus are my 1st lieutenants, and battle tested veterans. We need committed warriors to joins us as we prepare to resume the war against cancer.
Our fundraising goal for 2021 is $7,500.00 and hope you will join us in meeting / exceeding our goal.

Why We Relay
