How We Relay
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We’ll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we’ll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Jim Connolly was one of the first team members of CTM's first Relay For Life team in 2008. He invited everyone he knew to simply come walk with the team. He believed that if you just experienced the magic of Relay For Life, you would return as a supporter in the future. His goal was to walk 15 miles each year during the 24 hours, surrounded by family, friends, colleagues and the greater community.
In 2010, Jim celebrated his first and final survivor lap with us, as he valiantly fought cancer. His whole family surrounded him on the track. It was this year that our team was renamed from Connolly Tacon & Meserve to the nickname "Connolly's Crew", in his honor. Rallying in his support, our team surpassed $50,000 in fundraising that year, in our first year receiving national recognition as a team. That same year, our team members, led by his son-in-law, Shaune Randles, began committing to his 15 miles on the track.
We never dreamed that eleven years later, his competitive spirit would carry us to hit another milestone -- $1,000,000 raised to fund the fight against cancer.
We have our sights set on our next goal: $2,000,000 raised to fuel the cure for all cancers. We "go the distance" in Jim's memory and invite you to join in with us.
Together, we’ll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.

Be The First To DonateCancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
