Relay For Life of UW Madison

Cancer is a disease that has touched the lives of so many people. It is a disease so pervasive that it often seems difficult to find ways to help fight cancer. However, through fundraisers such as Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society supports cancer research and programs to support cancer patients.

I first became involved with the American Cancer Society in my junior year of high school when I started a chapter of High Schools Against Cancer. It was through my work with this club that I was able to learn more about cancer research. Cancer research is severely underfunded in the US and I am extremely passionate about the work that I am able to do with Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
