WHY WE RELAYTeam TKO is made up of survivors, caregivers, family, and friends. We are very aware of life changes because of this dreadful disease. Our lives have been touched in many ways by cancer. We have lost loved ones and friends to the fight, and others are still fighting. Lets celebrate life in the face of cancer and raise funds for this battle. Government funds have been cut for research to cure cancer, so if there is to be a CURE; it is up to us to help raise funds.
Cancer invades one's life without permission, notice or consideration. It wages a campaign of destruction of body, mind and spirit. The disease is real and the need for a cure is now. Team TKO is an advocate in the community to all that we come in contact with to promote early detection of cancer. We encourage everyone, both women and men, to get annual exams and self examination to detect early signs of cancer. We also encourage them to become knowledgeable about this disease.
I, Lula Bullard Team TKO captain and fourteen years survivor will continue the legacy of team founder Marie Palmer. She smiles down on us for she knows that Team TKO will remain a vibrant fund raiser and advocate for The American Cancer Society and Relay For Life. Please join Team TKO in the fight for a Technical Knock Out of cancer.
