Remi was 16 months old when she was diagnosed with stage 4 HR MYCN amplified Neuroblastoma. She endured 6 rounds of chemotherapy, MIBG therapy, tumor resection surgery, 2 bone marrow transplants, 12 rounds of radiation to her neck and abdomen, 6 rounds of immunotherapy with Accutane, and is currently taking a maintenance medication 2 times a day for 2 years to help prevent her from relapsing. While we are so greatful she is here with us today, she will continue to face a reality full of late effects from the toxic treatments that are use for children today. These will include risk of secondary cancers, heart disease, diabetes, endocrine disorders, etc. Please help us raise awareness and raise funds for more research for less toxic treatments for our babies. They deserve better.
