Relay RewardsTeam Tim
Tim Mantoani The spirit of Team Tim, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Generous, thoughtful, kind, and creative, the world lost a great husband, father, son, brother and friend that day. We loved Tim dearly, and are profoundly saddened by our loss. Tim was a celebrated sports photographer. His credits include Sports Illustrated, Newsweek and ESPN the Magazine, as well as campaigns for EA Sports, Coors, Coca-Cola, Top-Flight, Oakley, Epson, the National Guard and so many more. Among his many awards and achievements, Tim won two Emmys for his television series SnapShot, which first aired on PBS television in 2014. SnapShot was the perfect medium for Tim’s unique personality, humor and storytelling style. Tim’s passion for the art of photography culminated in his highly successful and celebrated book Behind Photographs. The project began in 2006 with a giant 20×24-inch Polaroid camera and the idea to document the work of the most notable photographers of our time who collectively captured decades of culture and celebrity with their own cameras. Always thinking of others, Tim was constantly donating his time and professional skills to many people and organizations, as evidenced by his work with the Challenged Athletes Foundation, as well as other charities. He also invited photography classes into the studio and gave countless talks and lectures around the world to help further the craft of lighting and picture taking. Tim’s work gave him access to professional athletes, world-class business owners, and even the Dali Lama. His creative life was full, as was his family life. Tim is survived by his wife, Lynn, his son Lucas, his parents Ken and Mary Ann, his sister, Beth and his faithful companion Turq.

Thank you for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
As of January 2022, we have invested $400 M for potentially lifesaving cancer research grants.
We have received over 250,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2021
Cancer patients benefited from ACS transportation support through our Road TO Recovery program and transportation grants in 2021, with nearly 229,000 rides provided.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

Relay RewardsThis isn’t what I wanted.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
