How We Relay

Promises to Keep is signed up to support our seventh Relay for Life this year.  We are excited to continue to support the American Cancer Society's efforts to attack cancer from every angle - to provide information to people when they are diagnosed, to invest in research, to provide support for caregivers, and many other programs!!

Thanks to your support, our Promises to Keep team has raised over $550k since our first cancer walk in 2007.  Please consider supporting any of our team members again this year - or better yet,  join us as we Relay!

How Fundraising Impacts Your Community

Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.

As of January 2022, we have invested $400 M for potentially lifesaving cancer research grants.

We have received over 250,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2021

Cancer patients benefited from ACS transportation support through our Road TO Recovery program and transportation grants in 2021, with nearly 229,000 rides provided.

Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
