Team Courageous 8 was established in 2014 and consists of friends and family members determined to Finish the Fight Against Cancer. We participate in our local Relay for Life event each year because we’ve all been affected by cancer in some way, shape or form. Participating in a Relay for Life event gives us the power to fight back against this awful disease. It is our team’s opportunity along with others in the community to ADMIRE the SURVIVORS, SUPPORT the FIGHTERS and HONOR the TAKEN. It's overwhelming to think that millions of people each year are diagnosed with cancer. Each one of us who shares in the Relay experience takes pride in knowing that we are working to create a world one day where this disease will no longer threaten the lives of our loved ones or claim another year of anyone’s life. We gather together with friends, family, and colleagues - to laugh, cry, and create lasting memories. Everyone's reason to Relay is as unique as their own personal story but no matter why we take part in Relay, one thing is clear - with every step we take, we are helping the American Cancer Society save lives and CELEBRATE, REMEMBER, and FIGHT BACK. Relay for Life is more than just a fundraiser, it is a life-changing experience!!
