Relay For Life of Tacoma-Puget Sound

The Walking Warriors 253

This year we want to dedicate this walk to remembering Uncle Danny and Uncle Don. No matter if they were your actual uncle or not, every one called them Uncle. For 10+ years Uncle Dan fought against prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones. In Oct 2023, Uncle Danny finished his battle with cancer and passed away. Uncle Don fought so hard against lung cancer for 2.5 years. In Feb 2024, he finished his battle and joined family I n heaven. Just 4 months after Uncle Dan was laid to rest. It was a battle that taught us tenacity.

This hit everyone that new them HARD. We will never say they lost their battle because they fought so hard for so long. We miss you so much.

Many people we know are effected by cancer in some way. Weather they lost someone, are a survivor, caregiver or a caregivers support system.

We would love it if we could have a bunch of us walking for our loved ones, just you being there would be a huge support. If you can't make it and are able to, even a $5 donation would help!

Donations won't benefit us directly but I'm hoping that we can help others feel not so alone during their darkest hours.
