In November 2022, Teresa was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was scary and yet something we knew from the start she would beat. The first of six chemo treatments started in January 2023. After surgery to attempt to remove the remaining tissue, the decision was made to have a single mastechtomy. Chemo was started up again along with 6 weeks of radiation that started in September 2023. At the end of February 2024, Teresa was able to ring the bell after her last chemo treatment!
The road was not easy and there are still more meds and doctor visits to follow. But our faith in God and support from family and friends has given Teresa teh strength to fight this. We have been supported along the way and ask others to now do the same.
