Celebrating my 20th year as a survivor, I choose to support the American Cancer Society thru participation in Relay for Life despite the impact of COVID restrictions. Our Relay for Life will be different from previous years--we will comply with whatever COVID restrictions are imposed--but we want everyone to have a chance against cancer. COVID has put too many cancer patients at risk--attacking already weakened immune systems, delaying cancer treatments, and closing many clinical trials. In celebration of twenty years, I chose to acknowledge the contributions that humbled me participating in my first RFL as a survivor. I will never be able to adequately explain how much that support meant to me; it virtually brought me to my knees when I received $10,000 in donations. Therefore, I have donated that amount to honor the friends and family who have supported me these last twenty years. I am blessed to be alive to help the American Cancer Society and I am even more blessed by the friends and family God has gifted me! Thank you all!
