Seafolk for a Cure

Seafolk of SL asks for your help in raising funds to support the American Cancer Society. We're hoping to unite those of aquatic interests in Second Life to join our team and donate time or money to a cause that's very near and dear to our hearts.
 
Our team captains, Cecily and Vesper, both have loved ones who survived cancer. When talking about common experiences surrounding cancer, we realized that most people do have a loved one--a friend of a friend, or even an acquaintance--who's life was permanently altered by the shadow it can cast on the lives around us.
 
This is our way of giving a little bit more to raise awareness and make a difference in as many lives as we can. We hope that you will join us in this fight against cancer!

Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love.
