Tom's Troops

I created Tom's Troops to honor my dad who lost his battle with Prostate Cancer. But my story started 18 yrs ago with my mom. She is a 2x Cancer survivor. After she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I found an ACS Relay for Life event through my Volunteer group at work. I loved that the event was on a track because I'm a runner. Also, the fact that it was 24 hrs...made me want to try and run for the entire 24 hrs. I wanted to push my mind & body to its limits. In addition, it would be a reminder to me that Cancer never stops. And any pain I endure would be nothing compared to those battling Cancer.
