Why We Formed a Relay For Life Fundraising Team

Welcome to Team Purple Posse. Cancer has touched many of us in some way, so we have
decided to fight back by raising funds and walking in our local American Cancer Society Relay
for Life event.

As a team we want to dedicate the Relay season to our friends and family who have fought and
continue to fight this terrible disease.

We dedicate our Relay this year to survivors and fighters: Survivor and team member Lori
Haney, Fighter Patty Stahley, and Survivor Lena Boulous.

We dedicate our Relay year to family and friends who we remember: James P. Mcdevitt, Claire
Mcdevitt, Lucy Haney, Mike Nardella, and Annmarie Keane.

We invite you to join us at our relay event this year, as we take turns walking the track at
Maloney Stadium on May 3rd, 2024 to raise money and awareness with the American Cancer
Society to help with their life saving mission.

How Fundraising Impacts Your Community

Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Cancer patients benefited from the ACS transportation support through our Road To Recovery program and transportation grants in 2023, with nearly 769,000 rides provided.
