Gail's Girls
Why We Formed a Relay For Life Fundraising Team
Gail’s Girls has been relaying under this team for 12 years. We are primarily a family team, who supports our mother, Gail Miller. She began relaying through her office team, PSU Business Services, in 1999. Since then, she has been actively involved in the Bellefonte Relay for Life each year, now the Centre County Relay for Life. We have known friends and family battling cancer, but the disease unfortunately hit home in 2008 when our own Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Mom’s cancer was aggressive, but with surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, she is cancer-free today almost 16 years later. Unfortunately, 2024 brings an update to our family's cancer journey. Our sister, Amy Bressler has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, she has completed her treatment plan and we are ready to support her in any manner. Relaying is key for us because we support research and want to see a cure, but most importantly we support our Mom and now our Sister.

Thank you for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
Since 1991 we have invested $3.43 billion in cancer research.
We have received over 360,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2023.
Cancer patients benefited from the ACS transportation support through our Road To Recovery program and transportation grants in 2023, with nearly 769,000 rides provided.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

This isn’t what I wanted.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
