Stafford Striders
Welcome to Stafford Striders' Team Page for Franklin County Relay for Life. This is our 26th year. We have raised more than $149,000.00! We joined Relay For Life because of the impact cancer has had on our lives, to remember people we've lost and offer support to anyone in our community who is affected by cancer. We Relay for Team Members; Survivors Kathy Robertson and Heather Herzig Boyle, and in Memory of Matthew Hall ( 1985-2020). Relay 2024 will take place at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield on June 14-15. Opening Ceremonies begin at 5:45 PM Friday. The first lap, walked by Survivors and Caregivers, begins at 6 PM. If you are a survivor, and would like to celebrate, please contact me or one of the team members for registration information. Our team fundraising begins each November, when we bake 60 pre-ordered pies for Thanksgiving. We are planning a Bake Sale on the day before Easter, Saturday March 30. This will be in front of Avery's Store in Charlemont, and starts at 9 AM. We hope that you will support Stafford Striders and the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, either with a donatrion or by supporting our fundraisers. Thank you, Stafford Striders

Thank you for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.
Cancer hits far too close to home, so the funds you raise will help do the same. Through services and resources like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline, cancer patients and their families will feel the love. Here’s how recent money raised has been put to incredible uses.
Since 1991 we have invested $3.43 billion in cancer research.
We have received over 360,000 calls and chats from patients and caregivers seeking support in 2023.
Cancer patients benefited from the ACS transportation support through our Road To Recovery program and transportation grants in 2023, with nearly 769,000 rides provided.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors for fueling the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

This isn’t what I wanted.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
