Cancer is unfortunately such a prevalent, heartbreaking disease. I am sure we have all known or heard about at least one person in our lives who has fought cancer. For me, it was my grandfather. My grandfather was the strongest, kindest, most active person I knew. He always had a smile on his face and made others around him happy. If he was in pain, you wouldn't know it. Everyone in the community knew him and continues to cherish their memories with him, including me. I relay for my grandfather, and for families like ours who have seen firsthand how cancer affects a loved one. Together, we can raise money for the American Cancer Society and contribute to research, patient care, and policy change to fight this disease one step at a time.
