In May 2014, my dad Edward Walters was diagnosed with melanoma cancer. No skin source was found, and after several lymph nodes were removed he was scanned as clean. Unfortunately the melanoma returned quickly and resulted in multiple tumors, including a large brain tumor that drastically affected his mobility. After surgery he fought bravely to recover, but eventually passed away in January 2015.
Dad was a loving husband, a caring father, and a giving friend who brought a smile to everyone who knew him. He served in the US Air Force for 24 years and was proud of his service to his country. He also worked at the Oklahoma Tax Commission as a second career and made many wonderful friends there. My mom and I are filled with wonderful memories of many vacations, holidays, and time spent with family in Ohio and Texas. We miss him dearly.
