No, Relay For Life is a community-based walk event. While your event may have opportunities to run the track, we encourage teams to take turns walking the track.
While most events do not include a registration fee - this may vary depending on your location. Find your closest Relay For Life for more details.
All registered participants must sign up using their own email address to create an account. If you wish to register an immediate family member (child or spouse) please use their account or contact us at 1-800-227-2345, option #2.
While we encourage you to set a personal fundraising goal and try and meet or exceed it, participants are not required to raise a minimum amount.
Checks can be deposited via our mobile app. Download the app to deposit checks here. Before and after the event, checks can be mailed to the ACS address specified on your local event website.
All donations on the day of the event can be turned in at the registration tables. Please have it in a sealed envelope.
The Relay Rewards program is our way of thanking you for your creativity and passion. You’ll earn points for every dollar raised online to help us defeat cancer.
As long as you sign up with the same username and password as last year, you'll be able to access your personal address book, list of donors, and fundraising page from the year before. This will make it easier than ever to get started!
Facebook Fundraisers linked to your Relay For Life fundraising need to be started either from your fundraising Dashboard or ACS FUNdraising app. Once you are registered, simply click the blue “Continue with Facebook” button and grant your one-time access within Facebook to begin!
Please bring any donations you have to turn in. Strollers, wagons, walkers and wheelchairs are all welcome on the walk. Don't forget to wear your Relay Purple and comfortable shoes!
Although it may vary by event, typically we ask that everyone stops and checks in at our registration location as we cannot wait to meet you all!
At most Relay events, only properly documented service dogs are allowed at the event. Check your local event website for more details.
T-shirts are available to Hope Club members who fundraise a minimum of $100. Hope Club members will receive an email with a link to order their Hope Club T-Shirt within 2 weeks of qualifying.
Yes! Cancer Survivors that register online will receive a survivor shirt shipped directly to them. There is no fundraising requirement for Survivor shirts.

This isn’t what I wanted.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
